I was not going to post this today.

the photos were taken last month
it seemed too "out of season" whatever that may mean ...
I kept coming back to it though and after reading what my sweet friend Robin posted about "photography being an inner and outer dialogue passed on meant to express your voice "
knew that this photo
these thoughts
belonged

two things I know

First,
I love preschool music
this is a holiday stamp
used after each class
on their little hands
stamp

Second,
I love time off
from preschool music
two weeks beginning today!

how do you take a needed break during the day?

Magnetic Heart

how do you mend a broken heart

Taking Sides

what side today?

making lunch early this morning

for redhead daughter

I stared at the pear

thinking

good sides and bad sides

scars and blemishes

colorful and smooth

what side are you this day?
Be faithful in small things
because it is in them that your strength lies.

wheel of friends

wheel

I am a new Blogger and have so enjoyed getting to know many talented and amazing women of all ages and interests. Imagine my delight upon receiving this earlier in the week:

thanks

my blog friend and artist AscenderRisesAbove sent this to me. I experience Jaquelyn's life being poured onto canvas in so many creative styles and mediums, each piece a wonder! Seems that this friendship heart has quite some history to it. The blog world is such a creative place where friendships can flourish and talents take flight.

I would like to pass on this "Amazing Friendship Award " to:
Spread your Wings a mother/daughter blog with an interesting twist,
Wayfaring Wanderer photographer and poet extraordinaire,
Mama of Letters writer and photographer of life,
Soul Aperture delight for the eyes and words that speak,
Bird Tweets photos and fun wrapped into one.

Friends are what makes the world go round ~ blessings

If you care to participate: 1. Post these awards somewhere on your blog. 2. Link to the person who gave you the award. 3. Nominate at least 5 other blogs. 4. Put links to those on your blog. 5. Leave a message on those blogs.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month...I am more aware than I ever have been. JULIE shares with me her sweet smile, a deep faith, love of family, music (we play guitar and sing each Sunday) laughter, good food, artistic talent, kids, dominoes just to name a few. This spring this sweet young woman was diagnosed with breast cancer
During these 31 days I will display a different ribbon in the sidebar fashioned out of tissue paper and photographed each day around my home to honor JULIE, one of my dearest friends

As she and her family bravely continue the journey though treatments including chemotherapy and radiation this is my small way of honoring her spirit and amazing strength ~
blessings to all who struggle down this path

silver answers

last night as I washed the dinner dishes my day replayed in my head:
Was it a happy day?
Did we connect?
Were my thoughts worthy?
Is this all there is?
Will I get it all done?

as I glanced up at the jewelry I laid on the windowsill before my hands touched the warm suds my answer was staring back at me.
