As the mid week breezes call the garden to rest
I will follow nature's rhythm as well

garden grows

just inches away from a leaf filled birdbath

are lines of purple in vivid depth

spent blooms reaching to a breezy beat

vintage shovel standing watch over

brittle pods of slender brown

among the red and gray ...and red

amazed by what is seen inches away in a garden after years of growth tended with love

we are off to visit a college
as my daughter will be making
that life choice in the next few months
but the garden will be here when we return

giving thanks garden

solitary branch

hushed in color

floats on a breeze

granting sanctuary

returning soon

to continue the walk
