I thought about transition

marveled at the parallel of nature and life

one pot..one plant that hummingbirds feast upon

each branch in varying degrees of change

...blooms.growth.colors.shapes...

just like me

take time

adventure calls to me
with lyrical words on torn paper
a light heart held by a wisp of thread
autumn breezes blowing through the trees

for her everywhere

one year ago one of my best friends
was in the depths of chemotherapy treating breast cancer
I took a piece of tissue paper & fashioned it into a ribbon
for the month of October snapped daily photos of it
in unusual spots around my home and garden
then posted them in my sidebar each day

nothing monumental or earth shattering, even a little strange I suppose
but the moments spent taking varied photos I felt involved visually
it was my small way to honor her strength and courage
to meditate on Julie and so many others

365 days later
Julie is doing well
I look forward to sharing
