Wonderful leaf images. That second leaf is huge! Or at least it looks huge. =) Love these in b&w.

From what you've shown she was an incredible artist. She has a lovely daughter who is an incredible artist herself. Happy Friday.

Both b&w photos are beautiful. I like the drawing on the first photo. It really was drawn by a hand of artist.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Your mom was a very talented artist. Did she sell her work, or was it only for personal enjoyment?

Your leaf photo is so beautiful. It is perfect paired with your mom's drawing.

what a wonderful treasure indeed. I have one piece my mother painted and two pieces of furniture my father built. They are priceless to me.

What a wonderful combination.
B&W really brings out the texture of both.
How lucky that you have things of hers.

How gorgeous... I have a marble cutting/kneading board passed down generations that was our wedding present 5 years ago... I display it and love it to much to use it...

What a gift you both have. Exploring art in different ways. Very evocative...:)

That second one is lovely....who knew there were so many shades of gray

Hmmm, Red or Gray, I think today is Gray and I love your mom's leaf and how you posted one of your own. Two artists, sharing vision with the same object. Very poetic. It is very sad to lose a mom. She was a beautiful woman and you are blessed to have these pieces of her. I have felt the same with my mom's fabric and unfinished pieces.

Just wanted to give you the heads up about making your pictures larger on your blog. I couldn't find your email address but if you want to email me I can run you through it.

What a great memory from your mother. Love the leaf in B&W - I wonder why I never thought of that?

I love my pottery made by my great grandmother, who died when I was 5.
Her art is beautiful and that sense of beauty and good mothering has been passed on. I can tell.
