 through two windows  lens embrace oaks reflected . abandoned art . beating heart

the next day...

there are years when valentines day is wrapped in a different love

one of letting go . calm and quiet . a strong yet soft moment

love in the truest form . rest well sweet dog Sam . you will be missed

a cup

in silver lines of a converted space . a unique name that caught my eye





past abstract metal blooms that never thirst . to well worn table created from a door





thoughts of past and present . flutter like steam from a mug

in a space of silver . unique . well worn . abstract . you are there

and fifty ...

two simple birds hand cut from a photograph . taken in silent fog

vintage lace napkin showing soft wear of a life well lived

snip of scissors become wings . a bit raveled always

sewn together with thread and song of season








so today is 49 and 50 . during the past year I missed a friday . or two

as 2011 simple bird simple word project is coming to a close soon

these song birds seemed just the ones to include as a pair

wishing you and yours a calm and bright holiday

from my simple space . blessings all

in black and white . in stillness and motion . embrace this day





I sometimes return to photos from last years project . shared again today

in moments of doubt

I focus upward beyond the dancing curve of a leaf





I gaze through the windows to the other side





I rest among the smallest of blooms gathered among the shadows





I embrace the words and melody that stay foremost in my mind

ease

at waters edge

natural puzzle pieces on wood

winding path leads through shadow

I gently ease into the week camera in hand

the brush is dry . relish the absence of color . twigs with swirls . ivory twine . soft tissue paper

looking & listening

a broom calls . as do dishes in a sink . along with a parched garden . work at a desk

yet black and white . square . shade . angles . glass . triangle . reflections . smooth





request their own distinct . bright voice in the story that is everyday
