Blue Birds Beginning

Awhile ago I entered the Green Giveaway here and was humbled when "ELK" was chosen as a winner. The prize of a charming frame arrived wrapped in such a colorful box

all of the blues and greens that speak to me, along with a perky blue jay on the card inside.

It became delightfully apparent that this day was going to continue to be special beyond the framed photo wrapped in a wonderful box. As I opened the blinds in the family room later that afternoon he was lounging on the oak tree branch AND I actually was holding my camera, wonder of wonders I caught this!

Now, nearly a month later I am creating hand made birds for a fun project which will be the "Red or Gray Give Day" on Tuesday. Be happy wherever you may be perched!

A sign that this gift was defiantly meant for you.

That Jessica is so clever to not only does she send you a beautifully wrapped present but a live blue bird as well.

Gorgeous - ad congratulations on the win! Dealing with water and cold issues, so when I read the last sentence of your post, I smiled. It has certainly made me turn around and focus on nice things and not dwell on things I have no control over just now. A perfect start to my day - thank you!

LOL Liss... how does that Jessica coordinate such a feat?

Thanks for sharing your gift with us.

I have a bluejay in my backyard. He thinks he owns it and screams at me every time I go outside. He doesn't mind the birdseed that I leave out for him though. Ungrateful wretch, but I do love him anyway!

Well, if that's not an affirmation that the gift was meant for you....I don't know what is :)

Oh yeah, I was wondering if that extra special order would come at the same time ;) I'm good like that!

Wow, don't you just love that? I think we should just walk around with a camera around our necks sometimes. It's always the moments when I DON'T have a camera that I miss out on something awesome.

That's cool how it came sort of full circle, eh? Beautiful photo!

Amen on the blues & greens. We drove through the top tip of Texas on our way home from NM. The blue sky was so awesome, but I might miss the green :)

oh wow. how did she coordinate that! or maybe the bird saw the present through the window and had to pop in to say hello to a new friend. :)
