ECO ELK

Wayfaring Wanderer
is featuring an Eco-Friendly giveaway
on her most beautiful blog full of imagery
and verse.
She poses these two questions:
"What 5 ways are you Eco-Friendly?"
"Where can you improve?"

the Red or Gray list looks like this :

purchasing food in it most natural form
doing away with lots of packaging.

oranges apples lemons oh my!

"re use" instead of throw away

back porch

turn off lights inside and out

light

compost in the backyard

no dry cleaning here ~ all natural fabrics

ironing

five ways to improve:

drive a more efficient car (are you listening Santa?)
remember to bring reusable grocery bags when shopping ( I have them just forget them!)
adjust thermostat by 2-3 degrees year around (summer is hardest)
mow lawn either manually (or how about less often)
love my showers ... BUT install low flow shower head to use less water

if we all do just a little the word will bloom!

I got some of those reusable grocery bags and I love them! Yes, you have to remember to take them with you, though! tee-hee!

Oh, thank you for the great idea for the Radio Flyer! We have one exactly like that sitting around. Now I just have to remember in the spring!

you are living a pretty "green" life. I know I could do better with little effort if I just would. But I guess I do at least 5 things. I should enter the giveaway I guess.
You always do such a good job of putting images together with words.

Haha I hope Santa is good to you this year.

Great photos to go with your responses. BTW, I keep my reusable bags in the van and I have to go back out to get them EVERY week, lol.

Great ideas. :) I am our light turner offer. :) I prefer natural light and leave them off most times. :)

a very good reminder. south africa is not a very green country at all.

the images make me long for my childhood home.

I am making a conscious effort to not forget the re-usable grocery bags as they are in my car but always only seem to remember them when going though the checkout. Nice reminder that we all can do better a Reusing, Reducing and Recycling

I love the fruit and the shirts!

Your ability with black and white shows up in these kind of photos too.

I like to keep PICTURES JUST PICTURES simple but I'm putting a link to your blog on LOOSE AND LEAFY.
