redhead "wears" pink...

julie
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month...I am more aware than I ever have been. JULIE shares with me her sweet smile, a deep faith, love of family, music (we play guitar and sing each Sunday) laughter, good food, artistic talent, kids, dominoes just to name a few. This spring this sweet young woman was diagnosed with breast cancer
During these 31 days I will display a different ribbon in the sidebar fashioned out of tissue paper and photographed each day around my home to honor JULIE, one of my dearest friends

As she and her family bravely continue the journey though treatments including chemotherapy and radiation this is my small way of honoring her spirit and amazing strength ~
blessings to all who struggle down this path

i am wearing pink today to show my support to "Passionately Pink for the Cure". My company does work for Komen and today we are having a breakfast and bake sale to bring in money for Breast Cancer Awareness and to help end breast cancer forever. Everyone is wearing pink, even the guys.
my prayers go out to your friend.

That is a sweet thing to do...I'm sure it will lift her spirits. Cancer is a terrible thing.. stealing time.

I'll send Julie some good energy.

Thanks too for stopping by my blog today.

This is beautiful! I have been looking for a nice pink shirt for my husband to wear to work, he wants to show his support.

What a beautiful way to show your love for your friend, and to end breast cancer.

The path is indeed
treacherous
as it gives little warning
for most
but lays wait
under the guise
of ordinary life.

Beautiful and thoughtful image and piece of art. So sad to read of another; concerned that it is something in the environment creating this increase

I may not know Julie, but I can pray for her, right? Hope she heals completely...

Thanks so much for sharing this story (and for raising awareness). It is certainly good to know that we are never alone. Happy Conscious Friday!
