ode to a peach

you may know putting away

groceries is not my favorite task

often I attempt to make it more enjoyable

in the sun ~ it made me smile . with the leaf still attached

4

in the shadow ~ of a smooth table by a window overlooking a wild garden

3

in the water ~ a cool stream washing it clean . drenching me as well

2

in the towel ~ soft and frayed soaking up droplets of water . ready to eat

5

in the creamy dish ~ juicy and meant to savor . while the rest of the groceries call

I loved this step-by-step on how to enjoy a peach, Elk... beautiful moment...*sigh*... Oddly, I don't mind grocery shopping, or putting it all away either--I think about all the good meals that will be had with the food just purchased. Then invariably, I want to cook right away... LOL! Happy Week, my friend... And Happy 4th! ((HUGS))

A peach is so much more than a fruit, isn't it. I love them warm straight from the tree. And under water, aren't they amazing?

All the other groceries can wait - unless, of course, they're Ben&Jerry. xo

I'm not a big fan of shopping or putting away groceries, so I guess that just leaves eating them to enjoy:)
Your peach celebration is lovely! Water running over the peach - super capture!

I love putting away groceries! It's so orderly and enjoyable. Though I would enjoy it even more if my refrigerator weren't full of dog food - the one downside of packaged raw.

These are making me want a peach!

Very fun! I don't know if I could do that, but maybe next time I'll try!

Oh elk, I can dawdle and put off chores just like this. I could just picture myself doing the same and just love how you so simply shared this time with us! (must qualify, that I may have done the same but oh to come out with your results...)

i love peaches... perhaps because my name is georgia? well... i think i'd love them no matter what my name is. =)

i'd have never thought to photograph them. you make them as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to eat.

You, my friend, are one of the few people I know that can turn putting groceries away into art. Love this celebration of a peach.
