oh my goodness,
when i was
a little girl,
my dad would
tell me
bedtime stories
about children
& their adventures
near the yum yum tree
& this vintage story
weaves solid center
with mine,
crowned with another
of your
dear, dear birds.
lots of love, sister!

Awwww... Now I am longing to read the rest of that sweet poem. I am sure tonight I will enjoy sweet of caramels and gumdrops and pretty birds singing from a Sugar-Plum tree. I am fairly certain those birds are carrying mother-love and wishes to loved daughters far away.

This birdie's minimal design tweets sweet. And the hand drawn accents are very charming.

oh i like the addtion of words with these creation. you might try a khoinor technical pen for the little drawings; i think you would like it. you dont hold them like a pen; but like a technical pen -- straight up and down; it is what I use to make those clean dots for stippling. i only mention it as i think you would really like them
