at times I feel overwhelmed by obligations ... to-do lists ... decisions ... busyness

this tree teaches me instead

to feel overwhelmed by blooms ... color ... breeze ... fragrance of spring ... smoothness of wood

Exactly! That is what nature teaches: to be in the Now. I read in a yoga magazine to that effect--how can you not be present when such beauty is around you when you are outdoors.
