to follow what you know is right there written at the end of a string

paper art has saturated my mind
during my summer off from teaching
i received a stack of incredible materials from Nancy
some of which was used for a friend's going away scrap book

song bird

i am going away as well
flying from summer's carefree moments
to celebrate music each day with shining children
...hand clapping to the beat in music class
...the spirited hugs of a child
did I mention the dancing... oh we'll be flying like a bird

then I will perch here
with you my friends sharing
life and love through the lens

How gorgeous. What lovely words :) I was surprised when you wrote on my blog that you were challenged with your camera. I think your photos are wonderful and I look forward to seeing how you see things. You are far too modest!!!

The little message hanging from the tea cup is perfect. Wonderful glass/liquid shots caught in the sunlight. As for school, it would be a real treat to be amongst happy little people all day, I think.

All refreshed and ready to go back to preschool. Each season has it's purpose! I know those little kids just love you! Music is probably their favorite subject! I worked for 2 summers in a preschool during college. I just loved those little band instruments...tambourines and tiny finger cymbals ...how fun!

Oooh, very cool shots. I love how abstract your images are. I like looking through my lens at things that way, too :)

I know this is strange, but I only drink tea in the cooler months. No wait, that's hot tea. I do drink cold tea in the warmer months.
So you are a music teacher? What fun! Do you do a recital during the year?

I should have known you were a music teacher with your melodic words!

I really love the way you catch the light on the first photo... and the advice on the tea bag is perfect!

Your art using sheets of music is wonderful. I've been looking for sheets of music out on stoops or on freecycle to use for painting or projects. Beautiful!
