two gifts of love

a gift
the little girl's soft hand gently passes the cream pitcher to me
her cocoa eyes shining from behind dark fringed hair
thanking me for the year of music

a gift of love

her confident smile and excited eyes sparkle
magic swirls around the room as proud friends and family
murmur words of love and celebration to our friend graduating from high school

blue gift

Happy Love Thursday. I'm still in bed, taking care of myself, just like you told me to! It's easy with Barry doting on me.

The first image is exquisite.

As is typically the case with your posts, the words are beautiful.

Did you, or do you, teach music? The "year of music" comment caught my attention.

I am in such a weepy mood today - who konws why? - and that first picture just brought tears to my eyes. Mary, my late friend & neighbor, used to send over bowls of blue hydrangeas, from her home to mine, because they are my very favorite color. She always liked the pink ones. But she is gone & strangers now live in her house, and her gift of blue blossoms is gone with her. Thank you for this - a gift of love indeed.

What a beautiful gift...I remember when I was a teachers aide and those little ones were so excited to give their gift. So much love in their eyes.
I can't believe the year went by so fast. I'm trying hard to hang on to my last one...she's a Junior now...sigh

I loved to see these words: My journey starts today. Just right for my boy. His starts today, with a new school, a new start. Thanks for your voice singing so clear, it reached all the way across the world and touched our hearts. Hugs from us.

i love the beautiful photos... i love graduation time every year... it's as if all that energy and celebration is infectious... and reminds us all that each of our lives is a journey... with constant opportunity for new beginnings... in the process we all close older chapters to make room for new pages...

Ha! I need that mug for more reasons then just because of the scooter (I'm a scooter girl). Beautiful Love Thursday!

Always so nice that music can bring such joy without even words - just like your photographs. The explosion of new found blooms sharing the space of a cherished and simple jug given by the hand of a little soul, so eager to share her blessings with her teacher are everything that is best in life. A memory saved of a moment of sweetness and a bounty of nature.

Lovely images and words, as per usual, ELK. I knew you were a teacher of some kind, but now I know you teach music. I'm afraid a lot of schools don't realize how important music is and that music students make better math students. Your school is lucky to have you.
