Elk: I have just been to Elizabeth’s blog and she made me want to go for a stroll along the beach. And a stroll wouldn’t be complete with out finding a feather or a shell on the beach. This is what strolling on the beach is all about finding pieces of nature.

Love the photo

Lovely! We went to the seaside over the winter break and I made a bunch of pictures of ... yes, feathers! Feel free to check them out!

debra i was not intentionally writing that way...it was the way I saw the image.

Laura yes I was not sure which of you captured it, so very special to me ..

I love the sideways lighting - I think that's what amplified the "dark and bright" and the "imprint of life"

Lovely capture ! Makes me want to go for a walk on the beach (except I'm buried under a foot of snow so thanks for the escape). ;-)

Great images from the whole weekend. Did D get snow or just yucky wind/rain?

Nice to catch up with you.
Thank you for your words on the blog the other day.
