in my backyard oaks on either side
look east . say hello to the rising moon
turn west . say hello to the setting sun
breath in the magic of this moment

mid week

sun shining . shadows play . rooted in life . light as air

plant nestled in a modern wooden home inviting me to bask in the elements of this day

shining delivery

by my mailbox
stands a winter bush
dressed in vivid red leaves
like a flag waving under the sun

inside were
artistic surprises
from special blog friends
under the same sun so far away

withered branches . intertwined

resting on an old ladder . rusted and chipped

I think

remain strong . connected

although weathered . continue climbing

never become so rushed
that sweetness on a sunlit window sill
does not cause you to linger

in bloom & at rest
paper whites final bow

with sunshine and shadow
a marvel of bright textures
among wilted petals
