even the blur . the merging of branch and sky in dark and light and soft

alone . yet side by side . bare . bright . lacy and gnarled

I can relate . me and a tree

These are cool, Elk ~ and that last photo reminds me of a quote Andrew Wyeth made once: "I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape. Something waits beneath it; the whole story doesn't show."

Sooo lovely is your tree poetry in word & image today, Elk. So much I've always identified with tree... I see so much of myself in them. We are all one, aren't we? ;o) Happy Week, my friend ((HUGS))

I can relate too:)
and I love the feeling
of whisking along
warm and cozy inside
while taking in the wild winds
against treelines
brushing sky.
your photos and words
relax me deep
and I thank you for this,
Jennifer

Hi Elk,
I share your love of trees. They are especially beautiful, bare branches and all - this time of year. Lovely captures!
Have a great week:)

I'd give anything to find trees on a bare hill like that and have a camera in my hand :)

I'm really loving that first image. I do love the bare trees against a winter sky.

even the blur. part of your movement as the trees stand still. the lately gray skies make the trees seem . . . more sacred, somehow. as do your images, come to think of it.
