pine and people

during a recent visit in the woods of east Texas
between raindrops . I imagined the similarity
between these pines and people

blog

we are tough bark and neighboring bright leaf . each intricate and unique

DSCN9615

a reflection . our daily opportunity to touch the world in a subtle way

blog

a chance to begin anew each season .. bright among soft fragrant leaves

blog

lessons among the trees . always reaching . standing tall . next to others

The photo of the reflection is beautiful. Through all the photos I can almost smell the pine leaves after rain!

These photos are beautiful ... I love the forests and in the mist they have a special enchantment.

Really love!

Half my family is from east Texas... I lived there as a child... I know those pines. And people. :)

Your images & poetry help us see all the connections, Elk. We are one with Nature, Nature is a part of us. We stand next to each other like trees. The wind brings us closer together. :o) I just love this line: "to touch the world in a subtle way"...The top & bottom photos really embrace the feeling of connection. Happy Day, my friend ((HUGS))

Beautiful. Looks more like fall than winter.

thank you friends

the rain really set off the colors
.. it was like a mist ...

candace .. we have trees here that turn but that do not drop their leaves completely until the new buds force them off in spring .. that is where the yellow/gold ones come into this post.

this looks like home. :) the mists make it magical, and yes, it looks like fall. still. except for the emptiness of the trees that do drop their leaves.
