.

ok
leaves cascade . wooden branch
to weathered bench

beauty lies within each season
change
gently avoided
then in a soft hush
anticipated

streaks
of yellows and gold
viewed among abstract shadowy patterns
call me to light

comfort
nestled in deep brown
etched lines of life and leaf
displaying the marvel
that is change
look

as the leaves fall . as december begins . i am quietly called to light at imperfect prose

There is something strangely beautiful about old decaying wood, which you have managed to capture here somehow...

did you notice the heart next to the leaf on the bench?

love the idea of thinking of comfort as a dark brown.

I can use a lot of descriptive here, beautiful - poignant -- creative,
however, it would not be enough - there is a spiritual quietness a gentleness - being expressed through visual art and how we allow the moment to find us through poetry.

Joanny

thanks for visiting my blog...

I love the quiet, lightness of this poem.
Like a root it draws it's moisture from beneath the surface.
Beautiful.
