past the screen

occasionally I let life fill a deep wheelbarrow with disappointment
a mound of worry . a shovel full of doubt

this is my studio window which looks into the back yard garden
a vintage wheelbarrow parked there is filled with Stonecrop in bloom each fall
they are hardy . loyal . interesting . self sufficient . humble . vivid . unique

gazing beyond my computer screen . pausing amid the taps of the keyboard
it is there planted in the soil that fills a rusted wheelbarrow
I grasp lessons growing towards the autumn light

I love my windows to gaze out of, and my computer sits right by one so I can gaze out over our "mountain".

mmm...I think that that last photo greatly expresses the growing, the hope... Sometimes it's good to shovel up all the stuff dragging us down, put it aside... it makes good compost and dissolves in time. :o) Happy Day, my friend ((HUGS))

such beauty to encourage through your window ...

My wheelbarrow gets filled with those things sometimes, too, and though the plants differ, nature offers me similar lessons.

I love that plant. Stonecrop? I've never heard of or seen it. It reminds me a bit of the Pentas we grow here in the south. Thanks for these lovely photos.

a perfect place for eyes to come to rest and perfectly placed wheelbarrow in which to lay those worries sounds divine.

I love Stonecrop...and all succulents...they seem to be the only plants that grow well for me. What a nice sight to see outside your window:)

I love this - a beautiful write, and I think, what would I do without my windows to see things growing, moving, reaching for light? Thank you
