for some reason

driving by this picket fence with all the imperfections
"I feel joy no matter what the world may see"
as Tracey so creatively wrote today

instead of a quick glance on the shortcut through the neighborhood
I stopped the car and captured my feelings exactly
a bit worn ... ordinary ... but filled with hope

I love this bright red fence--it would have made me stop too!

Strange..that this photo of the fence invites positive feelings, yet if I saw it out of place in a "perfect " neighbourhood it would prompt a negative reaction.

I like that we should see the beauty in everything.

Very nice find. I like what you wrote to go with the shots.

If you like to read and would like a chance to win the I Won...You Win book that is going round robin- stop in and leave me a comment.

perfectly imperfect. there is just something about the color that uplifts it.

These images are so beautiful in their ordinariness that they become extraordinary. You do have a beautiful eye, my friend.

A good illustration of what little you've expressed. I can identify.

i feel just as worn as your picket fence. :)

I did something similar today, except it was an old broken down shed. As I grabbed my camera, I thought how so many people would consider it an 'eyesore', but I absolutely loved it's...rustic...charm :)

It's simply divine! So unique. Is it the same one in your Back & White post?

I'm a big succer for old fences. Love them. And this collorful one is stunning. No matter that the paint is gone at some places, no matter it's all bend and old...i love them.

i think when you can find beauty in the simplest of things, it is easy for the heart to be light. the contrasts are beautiful~
