made clear in the fog

fog2.jpg

me in the passengers seat with camera close by
a morning of surreal light enveloped the city
fog is very unusual in my neighborhood

I saw the answer to a question that had been in the back of my mind...
"should I begin another photo project for a new year?"

Red or Gray Black & White
will be a simple blog
using little or no post processing
as the images become clear
just what i see

isn't it amazing how the fog can make the most everyday scene look so mysterious and quiet.

these are great.
cameras make every season of seeing more wondrous.
i now crave weather changes, like fog and snow and ice...because of the camera's eye.

your new blog is really really cool ..... I love the "as is" quality of it.

oh how lucky you are to have the fog, too...

isn't it, in the strangest way, really refreshing and soft and pure ?

i just discovered your amazing black and white blog! thanks for stopping by and commenting so that i could find out about it. i knew you had something brewing, because i saw your comments on emma tree about your new project. i absolutely love it! i have a button on my sidebar for black and white photography, but i've found i've gotten away from it and have recently been inspired to do more from all the images i've been seeing on flickr.

your black and whites are incredible, elk! wow! so artistic. may i feature one of them on my "...shhhh" blog with a credit and link to you?

my favorite one in this post is the first. absolutely LOVE it!

Photos shot in the fog are so mysterious and moody, very nice. We seldom have fog in AZ so I've never shot it.

Wow Elk! I love these b&w images. I really love the fog because it makes everything look so beautiful and I love trees so these are perfect images with such a lot of atmosphere. I am so excited to hear about your new b&w blog and will be heading across to look later.
