quiet twice captured

soft light from the north forms a dreamy moment
i sit intently watching her through the lens
reading for the simple pleasure of it,
not college textbooks
that rule her life
so many days

her

later now behind the lens
she sits relaxed
softly capturing reflections of candles from the fireplace
as they shimmer on the windows of the family room where she has grown up

reflection
today i wish you a joy filled moment during an everyday life
shared quietly with someone you love

it is so important

we all need to focus more on the little things in life, unfortunately, the big things get all the attention!

Thanks for that wish, Elk. That is where the magic is for me...and those quiet times.

Beautiful post. Beautiful that she still wants to read after plowing through textbooks. :) And PS - My day started - literally - with joy. A baby owl. Stop by & take a peek when you have time.
