SILVER SATURDAY

vintage cookie cutters but no cookies,
just like
the way they look through the lens...

my daughter will soon leave to return to college
It has been a delight having her home.

I felt a wave of creativity,
she joined right in the festivities!

in a week or so will feature a
"Red or Gray Give Day"
just a little something
by random drawing

I think my mom used to have cookie cutters similar to these - fun memories. I'm glad you had a nice visit with your daughter!

I loved your ice photos - so pretty.

And how do you find time to post so often? I'm amazed!

I grew up with those too and I think I still have them around somewhere.

Those winter breaks go so quickly - I'm glad the break with your daughter has been delightful. I just remember wishing my son would turn the darn music down when he came home! Ha!! I love the shadow on that first image - early morning shooting?? Very nostalgic - I think my mom had some similar at one time.

I like those cookie cutters. I have a copper gingerbread man cookie cutter on my stove. It's never been used (I don't usually make cookies that are cut into shapes), but I loved the warm copper color of it.

You always make me look at things differently. . . so inspiring. I love your vintage cookie cutters. I have a few that I am now inspired to photograph.

As for the J8, All the names in our family begin with the letter "J". All "8" of us. And the + is due to marriage and grandchildren.

The lighting in these images is so beautiful, so comfortable. Oh, I wonder if the giveaway will be something you and your daughter created!

When my dad died two years ago, I had to sort through not only his things but all my gran's things which he never got round to sorting through. What a delight! What discoveries I made! Amongst them were a bunch of cookie cutters just like these.

I can still smell the ocean... you were in my thoughts often.

The handles of the cutters are really cute. I can imagine using them.

I want animal cutters not so long ago and could only find the newer plastic sort. I decided not to buy them as they just don't have the same feel as these older cutters.
