court

an e-mail
arrived from a friend
reminding me of support
given a year ago as her 20 year old daughter
dealt with substance abuse as well as
depression among other serious life issues

this time of the year is full of emotions
it is a happy, joyous time

BUT

sometimes
holidays can be challenging

one may be experiencing
the holidays
without someone
for the very first time

job change

OR

just struggling
to make sense
of your daily life
and to-do list

take a breath
AND
take a break

Beautiful photo but it was your beautiful words that brought tears to my eyes.

I'm having a hard time making it through the day, I'm glad I stopped in for a quick pick me up!

This is a fun shot! :)

Due to computer crash I have lost your information for the altered bloggy book swap. Could you kindly send again? Thanx! :)

That fence photo rocks! Your words are so true. I have a friend who is dealing with clinical depression right now and is in need of moral support. Every day is a struggle. Sometimes it is hard to find the right words, but I try.

First of all, these photos are stunning! Love them! And I agree - sometimes the holidays can be very hard. I have had my share of depressing holidays, and this year I know two families going through hard times. I often think of them, and I'm so grateful for what I have this year.

And thanks for your comment - my computer was in the shop over the weekend, and I'm glad to have it back!

so true. i am happy to be in much better circumstances than i was last year. and i'm soaking it all in, as i am so appreciative of what we have, and don't really care about or focus on what we don't have.

i lost my dad a couple of years ago, so i know how hard the holidays can be when in the midst of these kinds of things.

your post is thoughtful and encouraging.

very true - the holidays can be extremely tough for people. Your words are a good reminder to be kind to everyone I meet, for they may need it more than I know.

that fence photo is amazing.

Beautiful Sentiment. It can be hard to be happy when your life is not heading in the direction you wish and Christmas is a time when society expects us to be happy. Some people have no one to share the holiday with either. My heart goes out to all the people who have so grief in their life at this time.

Such true words, my friend. I am taking it easy and as a family we are finding a few simple things to focus on.

I really don't like picking favorites, but can I say this photo is sitting next to my heart. : )
